LinkMitra — Privacy Policy
LinkMitra is a browser extension that helps you run paced, account-safe outreach on LinkedIn from your own browser. This policy explains what data the extension handles, where it lives, and what we never do with it.
- Everything stays in your browser. Leads, campaigns, messages, activity logs and account-health scores are stored locally using Chrome's
storage.localand IndexedDB. - We run no server. The extension makes no network requests to us or to any third party. No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no remote config.
- We never see your LinkedIn password, cookies or session. LinkMitra works inside the LinkedIn tab you already have open, using your existing login.
- We do not sell, share, rent or transfer any data to anyone, for any purpose.
- Deleting is one click. Settings → Delete all leads and history wipes everything; uninstalling does the same.
What data the extension stores locally

All of this lives on your device only. It is never uploaded anywhere by the extension.
What the extension does NOT do
- Does not collect or transmit browsing history.
- Does not read any website other than
*.linkedin.com. - Does not access your LinkedIn credentials, cookies or authentication tokens.
- Does not open conversations in your inbox (which would mark them read); it only reads the conversation list.
- Does not contact any external server, CDN, API, or analytics provider.
- Does not use remote code. All code ships inside the extension package.
- Does not fingerprint, disguise, or attempt to hide the fact that it is running.

Data about other people
Leads you import are LinkedIn members' public profile details (name, headline, location, profile URL). You are the controller of that data: it is collected at your instruction, stored only on your device, and used only for the outreach you configure. Please use it in accordance with applicable law (including GDPR / DPDP where relevant) and LinkedIn's terms. LinkMitra's Never contact list lets you honour opt-outs.
Exporting your data
Leads → Export CSV writes a file to your computer. Nothing is sent to us.
Deleting your data
- Settings → Delete all leads and history removes every lead, campaign, event and log from local storage.
- Uninstalling the extension removes all of its local storage automatically.
Children
LinkMitra is intended for professionals and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If a future version adds any network feature (for example an optional licence check or email-finder add-on), this policy will be updated first and the change will be described in the extension's release notes. The current version contacts no server.
Honest disclosure
LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits automated access. Using any tool in this category carries a real risk of account restriction. LinkMitra is designed to minimise that risk, not eliminate it, and says so before your first run.
